Out of one busy week and into another...... [07 Nov 2010|09:37pm]
[ mood | tired ]

Usually I am online on Saturdays and I have received several personal messages to my Facebook inbox asking me if I am okay, mainly because I have been quiet for most of the week, because I am usually more active. I would like to say the reason is because I was abducted by aliens but sadly aliens haven’t found me, despite the huge banner and me waving huge lights in the sky on my roof. Okay, that bit is just silly but I am tired and well despite that, I am actually in a good mood. Very, very, very good mood.

Wednesday was a shock, mainly because due to not going home on my long break, I was out of my house at 6:30am and didn’t get home til 7:30pm. I did get some wrting done to my novella, “Touching the Stars” but that is all the writing I got done all week. The old Dragon story as well as the “Gods and Monsters” story kept being played over in my head being tempted to be written, as well as my new one which involves a team of 8 supernatural beings. For Wednesday and Thursday, during my four hour break, I mainly had lunch and read “Mystery Man” by Colin Bateman. From Wednesday to Saturday, it was mainly the case of food, shower and sleep in that order. I was too tired to do anything else, except maybe watch a bit of anime. I always watch at least one episode of Japanese anime before going to bed: this week, I have been focused on “Kaiji.”

By the time my manager left work on Thursday, my feet were killing me but that day was good. Maybe it was because it was the day before payday but everyone on my department seemed to be a in good mood. And well, my manager came up to me before he left and he thanked me for doing all this overtime. I told him straight that I was always open for overtime and apparently, when it comes to emergency overtime (like if someone is sick or someone who was meant to do overtime on the roster drops out), I’m the first person he thinks of. Whether it’s because he thinks I’m a good worker or I’m just free to do any hours (or both) I don’t know but it made the fatigue worth it and this mood carried me over into Friday which was a double bonus because it was PAYDAY and for once, my payslip was right.

During my break, I went out to get a new work shirt and some jeans. Couldn’t find any decently priced until I got into Tesco’s where I got the last shirt in my size (for £2.50) and a pair of nice baggy jeans for £7. Okay, they are men’s jeans but I like that. They have more room in them than womens would in my size. Plus, I feel more comfortable in more male clothing. I have never been one for the feminine touch. I will admit I have wondered what this means in terms of certain aspects of my life but in the end, I see myself as a casually dressed tomboy.

I also went out to get these two books but I couldn’t find them anywhere.

a) “Harbour” by John Ajvide Lindqvist
b) “The Aurora Teagarden mysteries: Omnibus 1” by Charlaine Harris

I bought them on Amazon when I got home and yesterday i also got myself a Nintendo DS (which comes with the classic 4 Sonic games that you could play on the Mega Drive and also Mario Karts) as well as the games “Sims 3” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”

Saturday didn’t start off so well. My computer wouldn’t start up and I wondered if I broke it. It was working okay on Friday night. All I did was quickly update my Facebook and then watch a few episodes of “Kaiji” and a few episodes of “Spiderman” (the 1994 animated series) and went to bed. Nothing major.

I then got asked to come into work from 12pm-7:30pm which I did do. When I got home, I found my computer in the bin because apparently, it was burning on the inside. It used to belong to my brother and through the 7 years he has had it, he has it on 24/7 playing stuff like “World of Warcraft” and doing a lot of stuff that takes a lot of power so we have come to the realisation it was knackered. Whilst I was at work today (from 11am to 3pm), my dad sorted out the laptop for me so now I am working from that. It’s a powerful laptop as well in which I can watch my anime on it and go on the internet so I’m happy.

This week, I’m doing 7am-4:30pm from Monday to Friday at the moment. I am hoping that it goes smoothly and also I get a chance for some rest over the weekend. But if they call me in for more work, I will go in. I like rest but I rather be doing something productive.

Blessed Be!

Helen

c) comment in your friends journals- not EVERY day but often

d) show reasonable spelling and grammar- I cant stand people who talk like this: U R GR8!

e) Respect my opinions- I do have one and I do have my off days and I will bitch from time to time. I’m likely to offend people but only when Im seriously bitchy so please don’t take any offence to heart. For the record I am:

i) a Wiccan

iv) Bisexual
v) believe in equality for all ethnic minorities, genders, religions and sexualities.

So if you're a Pagan bashing, sexist, racist homophobic person, I suggest you DONT add me to your list. If you are and you can bite your tongue and not preach me about your beliefs, we'll get along famously. If you are not, then add me. I dont bite :)
